PhD Comprehensive Examinations

PhD Comprehensive Examination Area

Notes:

  1. Ph.D. candidates will be required to take two comprehensive area examinations.
  2. Supervisors may not chair a comprehensive examination.
  3. The examining committees will ensure that there is no extensive overlap in the examination of each student.
  4. All comprehensive examinations require THREE members chosen from the appropriate area committee.
  5. Further regulations may be found in the Department Handbook.
