Event: MIHE 2021-2022 Seminar Series

Family-Friend Community Resources for Better Balance, Health and Well-Being seminar by Marisa Young

Sep 15, 2021

Work-family conflict - defined as the incompatibility between completing role obligations - is an overlooked pernicious stressor that has serious consequences for individuals' mental and physical health. In this talk, Dr. Young will discuss how our community of residence influences these experiences. She will present results from the Canadian Family Friendly Community Resources for the Better Balance, Health and Well-Being student (FFCR), which is the first study in North America to comprehensively examine the impact of community contexts on work-family conflict, health, and wellbeing.
