Family-Friendly Community Resources for Better Balance, Health and Well-being by Dr. Marisa Young

Work-family conflict - defined as the incompatibility between competing role obligations - is an overlooked pernicious stressor that has serious consequences for individuals' mental and physical health. In this talk, Dr. Young will discuss how our community of residence influences these experience. She will present results from the Canadian Family-Friendly Community Resources for Better Balance, Health and Well-Being study (FFCR), which is the first study in North America to comprehensively examine the impact of community contexts on work-family conflict, health and wellbeing.
