Mathstronauts is a registered non-profit organization that empowers and enriches youth through Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education. Mathstronauts' NEXUS program bridges the gap between high school and post-secondary education, offering high school students from underrepresented groups the opportunity to acquire the technical and soft skills needed as they enter post-secondary education in STEM streams.

Mathstronauts is a registered non-profit organization that empowers and enriches youth through Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education. Mathstronauts’ NEXUS program bridges the gap between high school and post-secondary education, offering high school students from underrepresented groups the opportunity to acquire the technical and soft skills needed as they enter post-secondary education in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) streams.

The project will draw on longitudinal data collected through a mixed-methods research approach. It will identify the feasibility of the program in an online format, short term impacts of a high-school program on the technical and soft skills of participants from underrepresented groups, and the long-term impacts of the program on said skills, post-secondary attitudes and decisions six-months post-program.
