A virtual workshop on post-secondary education for Ontario youth
The Department of Sociology invites high school students aged 15 to 18 to participate in a virtual workshop about the university experience.
Feb 22, 2021
Are you aged 15 to 18 and curious about the University experience?
Looking to better prepare for the transition from high school to university?
Are you interested in learning more about the types of research conducted by students and faculty in post-secondary education?
This spring, the Department of Sociology at McMaster University invites you to engage in a virtual workshop which will explore these topics--as well as answer other questions you might have about the University experience.
The 50-minute workshop will be divided into three short sessions which include interactive activities about, how the neighbourhood you live in impacts your mental health, how university experiences can be demanding but also rewarding in so many ways that can influence student well-being, and how COVID has shaped all of our daily experiences.
Your participation in the workshop may also be eligible as a contribution towards Ontario high school’s community service requirement for graduation. To sign up for the presentation, please visit the URL code below, or feel free to reach out to any of the members of the YEP project for more information.
