Among many other news features, Sociology’s very own Dr. Vic Satzewich was featured on CBC this week for his viral moment with McMaster Olympian Madeline Schizas, who requested an extension on an assignment while competing in the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milano Cortina. This exchange gained a lot of attention, showing the world that even the most elite athletes really are just like us.
