Dr. Lisa Kaida testified in CIMM

On May 27, 2026, Lisa Kaida (Associate Professor, Sociology) appeared before the House of Commons’ Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration (CIMM). Dr. Kaida testified as part of the committee’s study on provincial distribution of asylum seekers. She provided testimony based on her SSHRC-funded research on the economic integration and secondary migration of resettled refugees (Privately Sponsored Refugees and Government-Assisted Refugees).
