Sociology of Sport

This course provides a detailed theoretical and empirical examination of how sport is culturally organized, experienced and mediated. Lectures and discussion (three hours); one term.

Prerequisite(s): One of SOCIOL 1Z03, 1A06 A/B and enrollment in Level II or above. Antirequisite(s): KINESIOL 1H03, 3P03 Not open to students with credit or registration in SOCIOL 3J03 if the topic was Sociology of Sport. Priority will be given to students registered in a Sociology program.
